This move will help Firefox a lot. This is why they've been my browser on mobile for years, now there's a big incentive to switch on desktop

Yeah I don't know what's holding it back in the browser, doing stuff to sheets is fine from antigravity.

They could just not do it. Nothing would happen. It's a little moronic that they act so hands off. I get it having a policy is nice for actual controversies between nations but one person wants this (who has probably never used Google Maps), it would be harmless for them to ignore it but instead they piss off half of one country and all of the other.

Complete lack of judgment from whoever made this change happen

This is pathetic and embarrassing by Google. They're going to hide behind some corporate policy if criticized, but it's so cowardly, there wouldn't have been any consequences for ignoring it

They could get blacklisted like Anthropic. Or... something. Carrot top will always find a way to express his displeasure.

Not surprising after their fawning at the inauguration. Google loves the toddler in chief.

Never going to try it, sorry for anyone at cursor who was excited about what they were working on.

Do you have cases where you still see 3.1 pro outperforming 3.7 flash?

Yes, for complex questions of biology, physics, and analysis of anomalies.

3.7 Flash is better at coding, sure, but AI is not just for coding.

Thats a unique definition of Big 3

I would replace xAI with Moonshot AI since Kimi K3

Maybe a little naive for this but given the decades Jeff Dean and Sanjay have been contributing to so many things in the industry and never heard a bad word about either, they never seemed to reach for attention or self promote, going to give them a little more of a cachet of trust.

Any YouTube video with him is filled with fawning comments. People love it when others tell them what they want to hear. He'll be able to do his schtick for a long time, well after it should be obvious to everyone the AI is going to change things. I'm not enthusiastic about AI and wish we could pump the breaks somehow but at some point you have to recognize there's something there. I don't think it's helpful that the face of AI criticism says a lot of nonsense.

I don't love that they have so much money and wish we had much more progressive taxes and no way out of estate taxes, but people really are letting the pure assholes like Elon off the hook when they lump all billionaires together.
